Reeva

Using the finest handwoven silks and yarns combined with French ribbons, Reeva creates tallitot. A calligrapher with 18 years of experience, Reeva enhances these creations with Hebrew and English lettering and appropriate decoration. Personalization is a specialty.
"I start with the most luscious fabrics I can find, combine them with wonderful ribbons, trims and braids, sew them into my Tallitot (prayer shawls) and enhance them with painted or appliquéd calligraphic texts. All these elements seem to transcend themselves and form a whole that imbues a spiritual quality. I am blessed and constantly amazed that the work of my hands allows others to feel more fully of their Jewish selves. I am deeply thankful that what I absolutely love creating is coveted by others."
Examples of her art can be seen in museum collections and synagogues throughout the world as well as in the homes and on the shoulders of young and old.
